As we know, after Chapter 8, there is an abrupt change in the focus of the book of Romans. Romans Chapters 1- 8 gives us the full Theology for our Christian faith. Then in Romans Chapters 9, 10, and 11, the Jew and Gentile question is addressed, “How could God’s people the Jews be excluded from Salvation and the Gentiles who were not God’s people be included.” Therefore, Paul must “reassure” the Jews that they have not been rejected while at the same time he must assure the Gentiles that they are fully accepted by God.
