1 Peter 5:8 (ESV) Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Dear brothers and sisters, we walk rejoicing with our eyes fixed on Jesus. We are leading our families in the ways of Christ. We come together as a church family enjoying the godly company of one another. We are fighting the good fight enjoying the presence of God. Things are moving along well. At this time, we must be very alert and not drop our guard because our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. The devil is a very real powerful entity, an evil spiritual person. According to Scripture, the devil has great power on earth, “being the prince of this world” and “the ruler of the kingdom of the air”. The Devil is revealed as a cunning and evil personal being who has the ability and the desire to attack and harm Christians. He attacks suddenly, viciously, and often when we are engaged in routine activities. The devil is in active rebellion against God who has leadership of many demons like himself.
