James 1:21 (ESV) Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
James 1:21 (AMP) So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.
ESV - receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
AMP - receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls. The implanted Word in us contains the power that saved our souls. We are to continue to embrace it and live it out. This is the promise of God stated in the OT.
Jeremiah 31:33 (ESV) This is the covenant … declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Powerful Implanted Word in action!
Matthew 10:19–20 (ESV) 19 When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
