Jesus's words affirm and illuminate the Old Testament.   Moses wrote about Jesus, David called Him Lord, and the Prophets looked ahead to His coming. The sacrifices pointed to the Cross, while Isaiah described the suffering He would endure. The Old Testament is more than the story of Israel—it leads us to Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah who fulfills Scripture and stands at the heart of God’s plan to redeem the world.
